ACONCAGUA

Aconcagua, one of the sacred mountains of the Incas, is named after the god Wiracocha, also known as Aconcagua. On January 14, 1887, Swiss mountaineer and guide Matias Zurbriggen became the first European to reach the summit. Today, over 120 years after the first ascent, Aconcagua is part of the prestigious Seven Summits circuit and attracts climbers from around the world every year.
